Within South Africa we courier your artwork to your door - the shipping cost will show at the checkout.

When shipping art internationally, two primary options are commonly considered: crated and rolled. Crating involves securely packaging the artwork in a custom-built crate, providing maximum protection against physical damage but often resulting in higher shipping costs due to size and weight.
On the other hand, rolling art involves taking stretched paintings off the frame, carefully wrapping the artwork and placing it in a protective tube. This method is more cost-effective and suitable for flexible pieces.
Choosing between crating and rolling depends on the specific artwork's size, fragility, and budget, as well as the destination's shipping requirements and regulations.

We will be in touch regarding the best options for you.

    Description

“Growing up, I remember walking down Long Street in the evenings and feeling like I was in this HUGE city far away. The bright lights, the neon signs, and the atmosphere always mesmerized me.
Long Street always had an energy that I could connect with. It has changed a lot over the years, but I still love the energy this famous Cape Town road exudes.

In this work, I wanted to capture that feeling and time in your life when you realise there is a big world out there waiting for you….. in her glasses you see the reflection of the neon night lights….behind her is home…”

    Fadiel Hermans

    Fadiel Hermans

Fadiel Hermans, born in 1971 in Cape Town’s Bo-Kaap, draws on vivid childhood memories and his surroundings to create art that reflects his experiences. His works capture colour, light, and emotion, shaped by his unique perspective.

Supported from a young age by his parents, Hermans’ passion for painting grew, leading him to pursue a career as a full-time artist despite no formal fine art training. His brief experience in graphic design and printing informed his style, which blends oils and spray paint to create bold, narrative-driven pieces.

Based at Salt River Art Studio, Hermans’ work fuses street art, pop art, and graphic design, often with satirical undertones. His storytelling approach invites multiple interpretations, and curators selected him for limited-edition diasec artworks at The Artists Gallery in Cape Town, often accompanied by storyboards inspired by his life.

In 2025, he attended a 2-month Artist Residency in Leipzig, Germany, marking a key milestone in his artistic journey.

Fadiel Hermans is represented locally by The Artists Gallery in Cape Town.
