Description
In Conversation with Monet In this collection, Theron engages in a visual dialogue with Claude Monet’s iconic water lilies. As a self-described neo-optical artist, Theron utilizes glass filters—inspired by the vintage glass found in old French doors—to “pixelate” her oil paintings.
The exhibition explores water as a primary metaphor for the subconscious. By depicting women submerged or emerging from fluid environments, Theron examines the “perpetual blur” of our inner memories and the fragile surface tension between our digital and natural worlds.
