Within South Africa we courier your artwork to your door - the shipping cost will show at the checkout. When shipping art internationally, two primary options are commonly considered: crated and rolled. Crating involves securely packaging the artwork in a custom-built crate, providing maximum protection against physical damage but often resulting in higher shipping costs due to size and weight. We will be in touch regarding the best options for you. Virtual hanging of art is an innovative service we offer that allows art enthusiasts and collectors to visualize how artworks will appear in their desired spaces before making a purchase. We digitally place the selected artworks on your walls, in the correct scale to achieve the desired aesthetic. This service not only helps in making informed decisions but also enhances the overall art-buying experience, providing a realistic preview of the final result and ensuring that the chosen artworks harmonize with the surrounding decor. Please contact us to make use of this service!

On the other hand, rolling art involves taking stretched paintings off the frame, carefully wrapping the artwork and placing it in a protective tube. This method is more cost-effective and suitable for flexible pieces.
Choosing between crating and rolling depends on the specific artwork's size, fragility, and budget, as well as the destination's shipping requirements and regulations.

Robin Kutinyu is a Zimbabwean-born sculptor whose work celebrates the sacredness of nature and the raw essence of humanity. From the age of five, he was captivated by wildlife, and under the guidance of his father, a sculptor, he developed a deep understanding of form, anatomy, and movement. By the age of ten, he had sold his first collection of birds and turtles, marking the beginning of a lifelong dedication to capturing the spirit of animals and humans in sculpture.
Kutinyu works primarily with natural materials, including alabaster, zebrastone, wonderstone, semi-precious stones, wood, wax, metal, cement, granite, marble, picturestone, sandstone, and jasper sourced from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Italy, Namibia, and Madagascar. In recent years, he has focused on bronze for its strength, durability, and creative flexibility, enabling him to craft delicate yet enduring compositions. His process emphasizes essence over perfection, aiming to reveal the intangible soul of his subjects rather than merely reproducing their outer forms.
Often retreating to the silence of the desert, Kutinyu finds inspiration in the raw energy of stone, moving massive materials with purpose and precision. “I try to capture the essence of my subject by capturing a certain moment of what is happening,” he explains. This philosophy informs every piece, whether animal or human, imbuing each sculpture with quiet power, vitality, and presence.
Robin Kutinyu’s work has been exhibited internationally, including at the National Zoo & Aquarium in Canberra, Safari Club International in Reno, and Afridesia Gallery in New Jersey.
Currently, a wide selection of his sculptures is showcased at The Artists Gallery in Cape Town, reflecting his lifelong devotion to nature, humanity, and the transformative power of art.
