Within South Africa we courier your artwork to your door - the shipping cost will show at the checkout.

When shipping art internationally, two primary options are commonly considered: crated and rolled. Crating involves securely packaging the artwork in a custom-built crate, providing maximum protection against physical damage but often resulting in higher shipping costs due to size and weight.
On the other hand, rolling art involves taking stretched paintings off the frame, carefully wrapping the artwork and placing it in a protective tube. This method is more cost-effective and suitable for flexible pieces.
Choosing between crating and rolling depends on the specific artwork's size, fragility, and budget, as well as the destination's shipping requirements and regulations.

We will be in touch regarding the best options for you.

    Christa Myburgh

    Christa Myburgh

Christa Myburgh, born in 1972, South Africa, studied Fine Art at the University of Pretoria, where she developed a lasting passion for life figure drawing under the mentorship of Carl Jeppe. This early focus on the human form shaped her artistic direction and later led her to lecture in life drawing at a university in Bloemfontein. She grew up in Bethal, Mpumalanga, and returned there for a period after completing her studies.

Myburgh’s work centres on the expressive potential of the human figure. Through a considered interplay of colour, line, space, and movement, she explores the emotional depth and vulnerability of her subjects. For her, space is not merely a background but an active, breathing element that interacts with the figure, allowing emotion to unfold across the canvas. Her dynamic lines and sense of movement create a visual rhythm that draws viewers into an intimate dialogue between form and feeling.

In 2015, she relocated to Cape Town, where she continued refining her focus on figurative work and held a solo exhibition in 2018. In 2023, she participated in an ARTSY online exhibition featuring 25 South African artists, presented by ARTsouthAFRICA.

She is represented by The Artists Gallery in Cape Town and has shown abroad with The Travelling Art Gallery through pop-up exhibitions across Europe.
