Within South Africa we courier your artwork to your door - the shipping cost will show at the checkout.

When shipping art internationally, two primary options are commonly considered: crated and rolled. Crating involves securely packaging the artwork in a custom-built crate, providing maximum protection against physical damage but often resulting in higher shipping costs due to size and weight.
On the other hand, rolling art involves taking stretched paintings off the frame, carefully wrapping the artwork and placing it in a protective tube. This method is more cost-effective and suitable for flexible pieces.
Choosing between crating and rolling depends on the specific artwork's size, fragility, and budget, as well as the destination's shipping requirements and regulations.

We will be in touch regarding the best options for you.

    Jaime Danielle Smith

    Jaime Danielle Smith

Jaime Danielle Smith is a Zimbabwean-born Abstract Expressionist artist based in Stuttgart, Germany. Raised in Harare and Cape Town and shaped by extensive travels across Europe, the UK, and the Caribbean, her work draws on global landscapes, nature, and the human condition. After immigrating to South Africa due to political unrest, she studied Film and Social Anthropology and built a career in film production before spending four years working and traveling on superyachts in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, an experience that continues to influence her sensitivity to light, movement, and environment.

A pivotal period in Berlin marked her transition into a full-time painting career. Largely self-taught, she approaches her practice with curiosity and experimentation, embracing process as central to her work.

The birth of her daughter became a defining catalyst, prompting her to fully commit to her identity as an artist. Her paintings explore the relationship between nature and the psyche, balancing chaos and stillness, emptiness and intensity. Characterized by layered textures, gestural brushwork, and immersive scale, her works invite viewers to feel rather than intellectually interpret, creating spaces for reflection and emotional connection.

She held her first acclaimed solo exhibition, Mapping The Past, in Hamburg in 2022, followed by Happiness Spills Over at the Orangerie in Munich’s Englischer Garten in 2025.

She is an active participant in The Travelling Art Gallery initiative and is exclusively represented in South Africa by The Artists Gallery.
