Within South Africa we courier your artwork to your door - the shipping cost will show at the checkout.

When shipping art internationally, two primary options are commonly considered: crated and rolled. Crating involves securely packaging the artwork in a custom-built crate, providing maximum protection against physical damage but often resulting in higher shipping costs due to size and weight.
On the other hand, rolling art involves taking stretched paintings off the frame, carefully wrapping the artwork and placing it in a protective tube. This method is more cost-effective and suitable for flexible pieces.
Choosing between crating and rolling depends on the specific artwork's size, fragility, and budget, as well as the destination's shipping requirements and regulations.

We will be in touch regarding the best options for you.

    Richie Madyira

    Richie Madyira

Richie Madyira was born in 1989 in Harare, Zimbabwe. He graduated with a diploma from the National Gallery of Zimbabwe School of Visual Art & Design in 2007.

At a young age, he was often caught up in conflicting family discussions about religion and traditional rituals. This has affected his perception of faith and religion which is often emphasised in his colourful artworks.

The artist enjoys painting predominantly figurative whereby his colour choice doesn’t fully represent the real world; this creates happiness and harmony. For the artist colours are the language to and for his art.

In his works, Madyira portrays his fellow Zimbabweans, immigrants like himself in South Africa, who came here in pursuit of bettering their lives. The paintings show the pride and joy they take in spoiling themselves with a bit of “bling” on the weekends after a busy week filled with work.

Richie Madyira’s work is mainly rooted in his personal experiences; he creates stories of the living conditions of poorer communities. Madyira strives to give hope and encourages people to free themselves from situations that derail progress.
He draws inspiration from the hardships of his childhood, what he senses, perceives and experiences. The Artist now lives in Cape Town, South Africa, where he pursues his full-time career as an artist.

Richie Madyira is a successful artist who participated in numerous exhibitions in South Africa and also internationally. He has shown with The Travelling Art Gallery in various major cities within Germany.
Under the title ‘BLACK LOVE MATTERS’ (BLM) 15 artworks drew the attention of a wider circle of art lovers internationally.

Richie Madyira is represented by The Artists Gallery in Cape Town and Franschhoek.
