Within South Africa we courier your artwork to your door - the shipping cost will show at the checkout.

When shipping art internationally, two primary options are commonly considered: crated and rolled. Crating involves securely packaging the artwork in a custom-built crate, providing maximum protection against physical damage but often resulting in higher shipping costs due to size and weight.
On the other hand, rolling art involves taking stretched paintings off the frame, carefully wrapping the artwork and placing it in a protective tube. This method is more cost-effective and suitable for flexible pieces.
Choosing between crating and rolling depends on the specific artwork's size, fragility, and budget, as well as the destination's shipping requirements and regulations.

We will be in touch regarding the best options for you.

    Description

This artwork assembles a vibrant tapestry of modern pop culture and iconic imagery. Ingrid Bergman, as rendered by Andy Warhol, anchors the piece with her poised, timeless presence, juxtaposed against the whimsical dynamism of Tom and Jerry under the rocket from Tintin’s universe.

The wrapped Reichstag by Christo introduces an element of monumental art history, symbolizing transformation and ephemerality. The influence of Tom Wesselmann’s pop art bursts forth through the playful arrangement of everyday objects, saturated in bold color.

This composition explores the interplay of historical landmarks, fictional characters, and cultural icons, drawing a line between the absurdity and profundity of contemporary visual narratives. The layering of these references speaks to a collective memory, uniting disparate moments of artistic and cultural impact into a seamless, energetic dialogue.

    Madiboka

    Madiboka

Madiboka is the pseudonym of a South African street artist who prefers to keep his passion for pop art and comics hidden. With formal training in design and art,
he maintains anonymity while occasionally creating unique signature pieces by assembling parts of his favorite pop art and cartoon icons. His choice to incorporate African artisan craftwork, particularly beading, adds a distinct elevation to his art.

Thokozani M is a multidisciplinary artist known for collaborating with international artists to introduce a beaded texture to their works. His portfolio includes pieces commissioned by notable institutions such as the Bank of Tanzania and the Mayor’s office in Tshwane. Collected by art enthusiasts in the USA and Europe, Thokozani M’s work is admired for its blend of sophistication and African beaded textures.

Madiboka is now also represented by The Artists Gallery in Cape Town.
